I teared up when I read this too! It brought back everything I went through with my kids. I tried so hard to nurse them but had results just like yours. No engorgement, no letdown, no milk. I tried pumping till I bled.

Yes! Thank you for writing this! I agree with you a million times--see a specialist if you are losing babies; there are usually doctors who can figure out why.

It is different. Sometimes they call them perinatologists or maternal-fetal specialists; they have more to do with high risk pregnancies than problems conceiving. Have you been checked for autoimmune disorders of pregnancy? They can cause miscarriages but can be diagnosed with blood tests.

I had to take high doses of prednisone when I was pregnant with my boys because I had already had four miscarriages. It turned out the miscarriages were caused by an autoimmune problem and the prednisone was to suppress the dangerous antibodies. Reading your article brought back memories …

Thank you for this article. I'm so sorry for your loss and hope the tests you're having will give you the answers you need. My story started out very similar to yours, where I never anticipated losing a baby because no one in my family ever had. I had four miscarriages in the span of a year.
